| BioBind is a spin-off enterprise from the EMBOSS and Jemboss projects. It was incorporated in March 2004. |
| Alan Bleasby has a long background in protein biochemistry and over 30 years programming experience. He is a founder of the bioinformatics software suite EMBOSS and has contributed much to its libraries and list of applications. He currently coordinates the EMBOSS project. | Alan is chief software consultant at BioBind and responsible for enhancement to the EMBOSS code. |
| Lisa Mullan has a background in protein Biochemistry and her main focus for the past three years has been training biologists to use in silico techniques to further their own research. Jemboss has benefited from her experience and testing abilities at every level and has been used as the principal software application in many of her training courses. | Lisa shares the administrative and marketing responsibilities of BioBind. |
